5 Photo Friday: Decorating for Christmas

5photofridaydecoratingforchristmasAs my Facebook newsfeed is full of photos of snowy scenes, it’s 89 degrees here. So I wish I could say “it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas,” but it’s not really. At least not by this Nebraska girl’s standards, anyway.

It is beginning to look a little bit like Christmas though, thanks to Max and Elly.

This week they pulled out the Christmas decorations. And I mean that quite literally, since we store them in a wheeled suitcase.

When we were back home in Nebraska in August, Aunt Tammy gave Max and Elly a few new ornaments to add to their collection.

In past years of decorating the tree, I’ve intervened to ensure a nice visual balance in the placement of the ornaments. But this year I just left it all to Max and Elly.

And once the tree decorating was done, Max enjoyed a little holiday reading.

The end result of Max and Elly’s decorating is quite lovely!

Hopefully Santa will find us in our new house to fill up the space under the tree on Christmas morning!

I hope you and your family have a Blessed Christmas! Regardless if you have snow (we are not expecting a white Christmas in Wisconsin!) or not we need to remember Jesus is the Reason for the Season!

The tree looks lovely! Nicely done Max & Elly! We did have a white a Christmas on the farm in Wakefield! Beautiful yet not enough to interfer with our travel plans! Happy New Year!
